The 12th Annual Walk for Warmth will be held on Saturday, February 5 at Kish Park. Registration is at 9:30AM and the opening ceremony will begin at 10AM. The Walk for Warmth is a walk-a-thon to raise money for the Mifflin-Juniata Energy Bank. This event enables the Energy Bank to meet the needs of those most vulnerable residents in our community.
Often, individuals in poverty are forced to make decisions about paying rent on time or paying heating costs. Energy Bank recipients can access funds to assist with either of these issues.
Everyone can enjoy a day of fun, exercise, and fellowship for a worthy cause. Children and dogs are welcome! Registration information is available at www.mjunitedway.org. Warm a heart, heat a home! Call 717-248-9636 for more details.
