Authorities in Huntingdon County are searching for thieves who burglarized a construction site late last month.  According to State Police, on August 29th someone entered the former site of a Burger King restaurant on William Penn Highway in Smithfield Township.  Once inside, they removed a Husqvarna H760 Chop Saw, a set of wire cutters, and approximately $300 worth of copper pipe.  Total value of stolen items exceeded $2,100.  Anyone with information should contact State Police at Huntingdon at 814-627-3161.

 

A Lewistown woman faces numerous charges after an incident August 22nd on North Juniata Street in the borough.  Police say 23-year-old Justice Blessing was found in an incoherent state at the Sheetz store at about 11:30 pm.  Police determined Blessing was under the influence of a controlled substance.  A search produced four knives, fourteen hypodermic needles, three spoons with drug residue, and five pipes commonly used for smoking illicit drugs.  Blessing was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.  On August 24th, Lewistown Police served an arrest warrant including three counts of possessing drug paraphernalia.
