Legacy Day of the Civilian Conservation Corps: Company 1333-Camp S-63 Poe Valley will take place at Poe Valley State Park on July 15.
This is a special event that focuses on the history of the Poe Valley CCC Camp, but is of interest to anyone who has a family member, ancestor or friend that served in the CCC. Rare film footage that has been digitized will be shown as part of the event. As with the past couple of years, lunch will be inspired by a historic Poe Valley CCC Camp menu.
Bill Marcum, a local historian, has a family collection of artifacts from the Poe Valley CCC Camp that will be on display. Bill and his wife Mary have been coordinating this event/reunion for over 30 years, with few breaks in between!
