Construction on a Shade Road (Route 1004) bridge in Juniata County has been temporarily placed on hold.  Work to replace the bridge in Fayette Township began last month as part of PennDOT’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.  The bridge is currently open to traffic, with plans to resume work set for Wednesday, October 10th. When work resumes, the bridge will be closed again.  Signs are in place to alert motorists of the new road closure date. During the closure, motorists will be directed to follow a detour along Shade Road (Route 1004), Tennis Park Road (Route 1003) and Route 35 (Main Street).   Completion is expected by mid-November.
