A one-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon in Mifflin County resulted in one person being flown for medical treatment.  The name of the female victim was not released.  The accident, which occurred at about 3:00 pm on Vira Road, is still under investigation.

 

The 21st annual Festival of Ice begins tonight in Downtown Lewistown!  The Crazy Parade kicks off at 6:00 pm from St. John’s Lutheran Church.  The Community Band will perform at the Historic Courthouse at 7:00 pm.  This year’s festival includes a live Nativity, pony and hay rides, music, crafts and games, and Santa Claus. The Festival of Ice is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm tonight and Friday in Downtown Lewistown.

 

The Lewistown Kiwanis Club’s annual Pancake Breakfast and Christmas Parade is Saturday (December 2nd).  The Pancake Breakfast will run from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church on Third and Dorcas Streets.  The Breakfast will include sausage and all you can eat pancakes.  Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $2.00 for children and are available from Kiwanis members or at the door.  The Christmas Parade will kick off at 1:00 pm at Chestnut and Dorcas Streets in Lewistown.  The rain date for the parade is Sunday (December 3rd) at 1:00 pm.

 

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Brown’s United Methodist Church on Route 35 in McAlisterville today from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
