The State Police Crime Unit is investigating two recent cases involving corruption of minors.  A 15-year-old McAlisterville female was the alleged victim of a crime February 27th on Route 235 in Fayette Township, Juniata County.  Police also say on February 17th, a known male suspect contacted a 13-year-old Mount Union female with inappropriate messages via “Messenger.”  That incident took place in Wayne Township, Mifflin County.  Anyone with information in either case should contact State Police at 717-320-1010.

 

A Huntingdon woman sustained minor injuries over the weekend when a deer ran in front of her vehicle.  The one-vehicle mishap occurred Saturday afternoon in Henderson Township, Huntingdon County.  State Police say 25-year-old Anita McKnight attempted to brake for a deer on Sugar Grove Road.  Her Ford Edge left the roadway and struck a tree.  McKnight was transported to UPMC Altoona by her husband.

 

The American Red Cross will be in Mifflin County for a blood drive today.  You can give the “Gift of Life” at the Community Hall on Main Street in Allensville from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
