Authorities in Juniata County are searching for a 29-year-old McAlisterville man who has been missing since July 18th.  Travis Michael Horning was last seen driving a gray 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse.  Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact State Police at 717-320-1010.


The operator of a Saturn Ion escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash over the weekend in Huntingdon County.  State Police did not release the name of the driver involved in the accident that happened early Saturday morning on Blacklog Valley Road in Shirleysburg.  The operator swerved to miss several deer on the roadway and lost control of the vehicle.  The Ion struck an embankment and rolled over onto its roof, sustaining minor damage.


The grand opening of the newly-relocated Dollar General Store in Belleville will be Saturday, August 4th. Customers will enjoy special deals and free prizes at the grand opening event. Additionally, the first 50 adult shoppers will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card and the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag with complimentary product samples, among other giveaways.  The new store is at 4514 East Main Street in Belleville.  The grand opening begins Saturday, August 4th at 8:00 am.


A 49-year-old Mifflintown woman was scammed by someone posing as a representative of Facebook.   According to State Police, the victim was having issues with her Facebook and Paypal account on Friday.  She Google searched contact information, and the Facebook imposter told her to purchase five Google Play Cards totaling $700 to fix the problem.  The investigation will continue.


The Borough of Lewistown is notifying residents that weather permitting, Kish Street will be closed today from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon between Green Avenue and Fleming Avenue.
