Home break-ins continue in Huntingdon County.  A Warriors Mark man and woman told State Police, someone stole items valued at just under $7,500 from a residence on Dry Hollow Road.  Items stolen include a gold watch, a diamond engagement ring, and a center-cut ruby.   The robbery took place between December 6th and 24th.

 

Authorities are investigating a case of theft by deception in Delaware Township, Juniata County.  An unknown individual gained access to A Thompsontown man’s Verizon account and purchased three Apple iPhones and an Apple watch.  The purchased items totaled more than $4,200.

 

A Milroy man was arrested by State Police on New Year’s Day.  According to the report, 27-year-old Reynaldo Del Peschio was stopped for a traffic violation on Route 22 in Granville Township.  Police discovered Del Peschio was wanted on a warrant in Centre County.  He was transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility where he was found to have a controlled substance in his sock.  Del Peschio was arraigned on $50,000 bail.

 

Pennsylvania is giving out nearly $1 million to prevent sexual assaults on 38 college campuses. The grants announced yesterday are part of the “It’s On Us PA” campaign. The state has given nearly $3 million in grants since the program began in 2016. Colleges and universities can use the grants to create awareness programs, anything from prevention and reporting training for students and staff to resources available to survivors. Eighteen schools awarded money are first-time “It’s On Us PA” grantees.
