The “Battle of the Morning Shows” is today from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the Square in Downtown Lewistown.  Sister stations MERF Radio, Bigfoot Country, and Big Lewie will compete while raising funds for the Salvation Army.  All donations will help those in need during the Christmas Season, and all funds stay in the listening area.  Last year, the combined total raised during the “Kettle Challenge” was just under $8700.

The 21st annual Festival of Ice continues tonight from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Downtown Lewistown.  Kids can have their photo taken with Santa at his new location at KC’s Gifts, Jewelry & Awards – in the former Wilson’s Gift & Jewelry building.  Caroling with Carol & Friends starts at the Historic Courthouse at 6:30 pm.  There are plenty of other events including the MC Model Railroad Club Open House in the basement of 3 West Market Street (beginning at 5:00 pm).

The Lewistown Kiwanis Club’s annual Pancake Breakfast and Christmas Parade are tomorrow.  The Pancake Breakfast will run from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church on Third and Dorcas Streets.  The Christmas Parade will kick off at 1:00 pm at Chestnut and Dorcas Streets in Lewistown.  The rain date for the parade is Sunday at 1:00 pm.
