A Thompsontown man has been sentenced to 19 months in prison for defrauding a disabled Veteran, the Veteran’s Administration, and the Social Security Administration.  The U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said 48-year-old Jason Ehrhart was sentenced Monday.  In 2006, Ehrhart applied to serve as VA Fiduciary and Legal Custodian for a veteran who was a former resident of Perry County.  Ehrhart and his former wife, Laurie Ehrhart, misappropriated more than $316,000 (at least $316,360) of federal funds for their own use.  Laurie pled guilty to one count of health care fraud in December, and is scheduled to be sentenced on June 6th.
