Drug charges have been filed against a McClure man after his arrest late last month.  Lewistown Police charged 47-year-old Terry Lee Fortson, Jr. with possession of a controlled substance and introducing a controlled substance into the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on March 29th.  Fortson had suspected crack cocaine hidden in a cigarette pack, and did not inform officers of the substance during the booking process.  Fortson had been taken into custody by State Police after two separate incidents in Juniata County.  He was being held on $25,000 bail.

 

The American Red Cross bloodmobile will visit Juniata County today.  The Red Cross will conduct a blood drive at the Community Building on West 4th Street in Port Royal from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

 

With Easter less than a week away, TopCashback.com is sharing the results of its recent Easter survey.  The survey polled a cross-section of more than 2,600 (2,625) adults, age 18 and over.  The results are in, and 40-percent of those polled say their favorite Easter basket item is the classic chocolate bunny, and 68-percent tend to chomp down on the ears first.  As for favorite Easter tradition, spending time with family is number-1 at 34-percent, with the Easter egg hunt next at 20-percent.  As for favorite Easter basket items, candy is the winner at 40-percent.  TopCashback also found that 59-percent of respondents put money in their Easter eggs.
